Welcome to Drs Ryan, McGuinness, McAfee & Donaghey - Lisburn Health Centre
Through this website we hope to improve our services to all of our patients and enable you to find the information required at the click of a mouse. You can order repeat prescriptions online, download registration forms, cancel existing appointments, change the contact details we hold for you and much more.
We take pride in offering a high quality service that is friendly, prompt and comprehensive. Please take a look around the website for further information about the Practice and the wide range of services that we offer. You will also find other health-related information and links that we hope will be useful.
During the Covid-19 pandemic we cannot offer advanced booking for routine GP appointments. To ensure the safety of our patients, staff and GPs, you should NOT visit the surgery unless you have been told to do so by a member of the reception team, a nurse or a doctor.
We now provide a daily telephone triage service with routine calls accepted from 8.30 am each day. We can only accommodate a limited number of routine requests each day. Urgent calls will be given priority.
When you ring us, our staff will ask you some questions to determine your condition. Some of the questions may include if you have a temperature or a cough. These questions help us to determine the best action to take but also helps protect our staff and other vulnerable patients. Please respect that the GPs have directed staff to ask these questions.
If appropriate, you may receive a call back from a GP or be given other relevant advice.
We are constantly updating and streamlining our systems in response to a rapidly evolving situation. We can forward sick lines to your mobile phone and arrange video/photo consultations where necessary.
Patients attending surgery
In some circumstances the GP may feel that you should attend the surgery.
Please arrive at your exact appointment time and not earlier for your own safety and that of others as we are trying to limit the number of patients in our waiting area at any one time.
Please feel free to wear your own mask to your appointment.
You will be asked to wash your hands in warm, soapy water before entering the waiting area.
If you are attending an appointment with the Practice Nurse, please wear clothing that will enable quick access to your arm so that she can conduct your vaccination, bloods or BP check quickly and efficiently.
Please do not collect prescriptions at Reception. During the current Coronavirus pandemic, all prescriptions should go to a nominated chemist.
If you need a repeat prescription, please use our 24 hour repeat prescribing line (028 9250 1289) and ensure you provide the name of your preferred chemist along with your name, date of birth, telephone number and medication you wish to order.

The health centre is located opposite a large public car park which operates a pay and display system. Car parking spaces for those registered disabled are available on this site.
There are a limited number of disabled car parking spaces available on the health centre site and the building itself has been adapted to accommodate disabled patients.
We will also be closed for the bank holiday on Monday 31 August 2020 and re-open on Tuesday 1 September 2020.
Please ensure you order your repeat medication and have it dispensed by your pharmacist well in advance to ensure you do not run out of your medicines when the surgery and pharmacy are closed. This is particularly important during the Christmas and New Year period.
For urgent medical problems during these periods, please ring Lagandoc GP Out of Hours Service on 028 9260 2204.
